Hi Carl,
I took your survey and found your questions very interesting. I am an aspiring writer (mostly poetry, short stories and non-fiction). I enjoy a forum for writers on the web where you might like to check out, the forum is http://www.writingforums.com. Currently, I believe they are having technical difficulties but usually its a very supportive forum.
I didn’t know if you are still looking for people to take your survey but thought you could post it there and get some more input on your research.

that book about never married!!! that happen with my first husband… He was 45 when we got married, never married before and no kids. He was in love with his mom (I think) ha!
